Assessment Information
SATs (Standard Assessment Tests) are statutory assessments taken by pupils at the end of Key Stage 2 in Year 6. They help measure children’s understanding of the National Curriculum and provide schools with information about pupils’ attainment and progress.
Children take their SATs assessments in Year 6, when they are typically 10 to 11 years old. The tests are usually held in May and cover key areas of learning, including English grammar, punctuation and spelling, reading, and mathematics. See the tables below for more information.
