For our Super Starter week we have had lots of Kings and Queens around school, proudly wearing their crowns for Coronation Day. Pupils have been creating beautiful art work ready for Christmas Cards, these will be scanned onto card and sold to parents nearer to Christmas.
During the week Year 3 and 4 pupils went on a trip to the John Moore Museum in Tewkesbury. The children learnt about how Tudor houses were built, how people lived during Tudor times and even found out what would happen if you had an injury …. you would visit a barber surgeon!
During Year 5 trip to the Houses of Parliament, they enjoyed a debate workshop, unfortunately they couldn’t convince parliament to abolish homework! Year 5 are continuing to work on their debating skills in class.
Our school football team had a successful start, winning the first round of a football tournament this week, we wish them lots of good luck for round two on Friday 13th October.
Miss Boddy’s class enjoyed some fresh air and extra fitness this week by running 1 mile at Lydiard Park, well done everyone and thank you to our parent helper for supporting this event.
