Mini Police
At Gorse Hill, some of our students have been selected to take part in a national programme called the Mini Police. The Mini Police works in conjunction with the local police and aims to teach the children about policing issues, staying safe and undertaking volunteering in support of a local community.
The children applied earlier this year and had to explain why they thought they would make a good Mini Police Officer. Unfortunately there were limited spaces, but those who were selected were presented with their Mini Police Vest and a certificate to show they are part of the programme. This was shared in a school assembly which some very proud parents were able to attend – and there are photos in the gallery below.
We hope to keep you updated about our Mini Police Officers as they continue to represent their school and their wider community in their important roles.
