We have had another fantastic week in year 2.
The children have been working hard and impressing us.
Christmas has begun to arrive.... yes did I just say the C..... word!
We were surprised with a note from Father Christmas which was sent by one of his elves. He has told us that he will be watching over our fantastic learning and he wants us to help teach his elves.
We have begun to look at where Christmas traditions started and this was a long time ago in the Victorian times. The children have remembered some great facts about Christmas crackers and Christmas cards which they might be able to share with the family over Christmas dinner.
In Science this week we got very creative! The children were given a task to build a bridge for a toy car but only using paper and sellotape. The children were very experimentive with this and came up with a range of different ways to make their bridges stable. We were very impressed.
This weeks Dazzlers are...
For his great teamwork and effort during our Science experiment. Kordian explained why paper wasn't the best material to build and bridge and that he would use metal if he were to build a real bridge. Well done Kordian. 😄
For your fantastic efforts of home learning this week. You WOW'ed me with your bridges and constant enthusiasm for learning.
