This term we had a visit from the Life Bus. In our session we looked at how to keep happy and healthy. It was really helpful and gave some great advice.
For our home-learning, we were making Viking-style shields. Here are some fantastic shields which clearly have a lot of time and care put into them.
As we continued looking at the Vikings, we spent a lesson where we role-played Viking settlers and the local Anglo Saxons. We learned about how they traded with each other and the impact which bad weather had on importing and trading goods.
In a Science experiment, we explored different everyday items and whether or not they were magnetic. We will be continuing our work on magnetism and forces over the next term.
We are also extremely pleased and proud that The Shire won the attendance cup for the best attendance in the school three times this half-term. It’s so important to be in school and in on time, so a big well done to The Shire and long may it continue.
