We have had a lovely week in nursery.
This week the children have noticed how the weather has changed, they shared in circle time that it is a lot colder and this means they have been wearing hats and gloves to keep themselves warm.
We have been very busy in maths this week continuing to explore the concept of "3" and learning to recognise amounts by looking at different patterns. The children are learning to use the sentence, "I use my eyes to subitise, I can see the number..."
Mrs Willis has been very impressed with all the counting that is going on around our class, as we continue to explore numbers and counting by touching each item once as we count.
As we continue our learning about The Gingerbread Man, we have been finding different ways to decorate our gingerbread men. This week the children used our Numicon pieces 1 - 3 to paint gingerbread men pictures.
We love to share stories and rhymes in nursery. The children really enjoyed our Nursery Rhyme Week last week, and have been seeking out our special Nursery Rhyme Sounds books to enjoy in the calm corner.
We hope you all have a lovely week, and we look forward to another fun filled week of learning in Nursery.
