We have had a magical week in Owl's Treetop Class this week. December has arrived, along with the wintery frost which the children have loved exploring outside, mark making in the frost.
We had an extra addition to our class arrive this week, meet Elfie our class Elf! The children are enjoying coming in each morning to see what Elfie has been up too. This morning they found him on top of our calm corner den, with some of our crackers!
The class have been talking about presents, so we decided to make our very own wrapping paper to wrap some boxes in to go in our home corner. They made some beautiful designs, concentrating really hard on their mark making, Mrs Willis was very impressed.
In maths we have been learning all about the number four. We have made collections of four, started to recognise shapes that have four sides and four corners, and even experimented to see what we could make using 4 duplo blocks!
We have continued to learn some more actions to our gingerbread man story, this week we have learnt "look", "jump" and "nose". I wonder how much of the gingerbread man story script they can retell you?
Have a lovely week, next week we will be exploring ice…..!
