We have been settling in well to life in Year 4. We’ve hit the ground running in Science in particular, where we are looking at sound.
In the gallery below you can see that we’re looking at different sources of sound such as different musical instruments, the sound of water and the sound of paper being rustled.
We look forward to keeping you up to date with the rest of our learning in our new class.
We’re making fantastic progress in Term 1 but a definite highlight of the term so far, has been starting Skills Force. We get to play games which test various skills like teamwork and communication. A key skill we’ve been practicing so far is listening.
Below are some photos of us practicing our listening skills in ‘Simon Says’ and in another game where we were blindfolded and had to listen out for the noises each other were making. In this game, one person was making animal noises, whilst the other was a snake – shaking a rattle.
The person playing the animal had to listen out for the sound of the rattle and run away from it, whilst the snake was listening out for the animal making noises, to try to catch them.
The rest of us had to stay very quiet so our friends could hear. We are looking forward to practicing many more skills through Skills Force.
We look forward to keeping you up to date with the rest of our journey throughout the year
