The children have especially enjoyed forest schools this term and have taken a real interest in the wildlife around them. The children have explored minibeasts such as snails and slugs, and observed animals such as tadpoles, birds, and newts.
Camelot class have had good attendance at the beginning of the term, and we have been awarded fantastic science and team building activities to enjoy as a class. We especially enjoyed working together as a team to make small and big waves and throw large balls up as high as we could using our parachute.
In maths we have been practicing our adding and taking away. We have played fun activities such as ten frame bowling to knock down cones and use language of takeaway. We have also practiced doubling and have enjoyed various doubling activities using numicon, painting ladybirds and butterflies and playing dominoes.
We have especially enjoyed our superhero topic and we are now exploring the story of The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. We are currently planning a Gruffalo Party to finish off the term. We are using our phonics knowledge to write a shopping list of party items and invitations for the characters from The Gruffalo.
