The aim of the Club is to give the children the chance to get fitter and enjoy running for pleasure but this club isn’t just running its lots of different activities that will develop stamina and rhythm.
Soccer Excellence run our after school clubs for football twice a week so every year from YR to Y6 are able to join. Every week they focus on a different aspect of football. They cover passing and receiving, dribbling, shooting/finishing, attacking, defending.
This art club involves “Big Art Projects” as well as some small individual pieces. Across the term we use a range of materials. Some large group “Art Attacks” are created – but the most important thing is that the club is fun!
KS2 Choir Club is run after school every week on a Thursday. Children in choir club learn new songs each week, culminating in a concert held at the end of each major term. The club is open to Year 3 upwards.
Guitar club is held weekly for Year 4 and above. Pupils learn through playing contemporary songs and build up an increasingly varied repertoire. Attendees can expect to cover chords, strumming, finger patterns, picking and lots more!
Netball is a fantastic team sport that teaches children a variety of skills. Children work collaboratively as a team which develops social and verbal skills. Alongside this, netball is a good cardiovascular workout so it will improve overall fitness and as it requires good agility, reaction time and hand-eye coordination, these skills will also be built upon.
